A few days after a meeting ends, you will receive an email from leadingstrand@cshl.edu with an activation link. Click the link and enter your email, username, and password to set up your account.
Beginning in 2026, accounts created for one meeting can be reused for future meetings you attend. Simply sign in using the profile circle on the home page to view all meetings you have access to.
Please check the spam or junk folder in your email application for the activation message sent after the meeting. If you are unable to locate it, click the "Don't have an emailed activation link? Register here." link on the meeting login page.
On the registration form, enter your CSHL ID, first and last name, the email address you used to register for the meeting, and create a new username and password.
Beginning in 2026, accounts created for one meeting can be used for additional events you attend without needing to register or activate again.
If you cannot remember your password, click the Forgot Password link on the login page. After entering the security code sent from leadingstrand@cshl.edu in the Reset Code field, you will be able to choose a new password.
If you do not receive the email within a few minutes of requesting a code, please check your spam or junk folder, or try requesting another code.
Follow the steps outlined in the Forgot Password help article. The password reset email will include your username along with the security code.
The expiration date for the meeting is displayed on the login page beneath the Sign In button. Please note that, due to our agreements with speakers, we are unable to extend site access after midnight on the listed expiration date.

The Leading Strand site supports only one login at a time for each account. Signing in on a second device will automatically end the session on the first device.
